OsteoLink is an initiative of the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF)
and the Division of Bone Disease at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Geneva.

OsteoLink is the first global and local social network dedicated to people with osteoporosis, their friends, families, physicians and other healthcare professionals in Europe and Australia. It is the easy way for people who care about osteoporosis to connect online or in person.

In 2009 a multinational survey of more than 1,600 women with osteoporosis and physicians identified significant gaps in osteoporosis communications. To help address these communication gaps, the International Osteoporosis Foundation, in partnership with the University of Geneva, has developed OsteoLink. OsteoLink will be managed and implemented in Australia by Osteoporosis Australia, a member National Society of the IOF.

We're committed to making OsteoLink the place for improving osteoporosis communications. As part of that commitment, we are doing our best to ensure OsteoLink is up-to-date, and relevant to your local needs in osteoporosis care and management. OsteoLink is advised by a Scientific Committee of leading osteoporosis experts from throughout Europe to provide information that can be relied on.

OsteoLink is funded by grants from the EU and the Swiss Confederation through the Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) Joint Programme on research, Amgen (Europe) GmbH in collaboration with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and other partners Amgen Australia.
